Voter Registration

First-time voters.

First-time voters.

You are eligible to vote in the town in which you reside if you:

  • Are a citizen of the United States
  • Are a resident of Vermont
  • Have taken the Voter’s Oath
  • Are at least 18 years of age

The deadline to register to vote is 6 days prior to an election

If you are registering for the first time in Vermont, you will need to take the Voter’s Oath. You may do so at the Town Clerk’s Office, or take the oath from a notary, justice of the peace, judge, court clerk, any commissioned officer in the Unites States Armed Forces, or other official with the power to administer oaths. The Voter’s Oath is now self-administering and you may sign certifying you read the oath.

To register to vote, click the link below to access “My Voter Page & Online Voter Registration”. If you don’t see your name on the checklist, click on the Online Voter Registration to register to vote, then you will be able to log in.

If you would rather not register online, below you will find a voter registration form you can download, print, fill out manually, and return it to the Bennington Town Clerk’s Office.

For more information, you may call the Town Clerk’s Office at the number below or view the Secretary of State’s website.
