Week of August 31-September 04, 2020

 

Beech St: will be reduced to One-Lane all week while Highway Crew installs new Catch Basin (storm drain) near the ballfield.  Please use Caution when traveling men and equipment will be in the road.  Expect Delays or find alternate route.

Burgess Rd: Monday &Tuesday will be reduced to One-Lane while Highway Crew works with contractor to finish paving. Please use Caution when traveling and Expect Delays or find alternate route.

Chapel Rd (Upper): North of Crossover Rd continues to be CLOSED 7:00am-5:30pm as the contractor crew works on the PFOA water main extension project.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Detours will be in place.  Please schedule your time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route.

Kocher Drive: between Aldi’s and Performance Dr continues to have lane restrictions while a contractor continues work on the Pedestrian Sidewalk Extension project.  Men and equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Matteson Road: Thursday will be reduced to One-Lane, while Highway crew works with contractor to finish paving.  Please use caution when traveling or find alternate route.

Performance Dr: Wednesday will be reduced to One-Lane, while Highway crew works with contractor to finish paving.  Please use caution when traveling or find alternate route.

Polygraphic Ln (N.Benn): will once again be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for the next 2 weeks while a Sewer Crew returns to work on the Sewer Main Replacement project.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

TOWNWIDE:

Weed eating & Roadside Mowing continues across town at various locations.  PLEASE USE CAUTION when approaching these areas and expect delays.

Roadside mowing is also being done across North Bennington.  Please use caution when approaching these areas.

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.

REMINDER – Summer :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as this clogs storm drains and creates flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

 Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.
