Week of July 06 – 10, 2020

 

Please be Advised: The PFOA Water Line extension work continues. 

 Apple Hill Development (All Roads within): Monday & Tuesday will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic while the roads are milled in preparation of paving.  Please use Caution as men & equipment will be in the roadway. Expect Delays.

Burgess Rd (Center St to Main St): Monday & Tuesday will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic while the road is milled in preparation of paving.  Please use Caution as men & equipment will be in the roadway. Expect Delays.

Carpenter Ln: (Off North Branch St) will be CLOSED to through traffic all week for PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.

Chapel Rd: will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for the next several weeks as contractor crews begin setting up for the next phase of PFOA water line extension work.  Men and equipment will be on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

East Rd (Upper): North of Houghton Lane will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for the next several weeks as contractor crews continue PFOA water line extension work.  Men and equipment will be on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Furnace Brook Rd: (at North Branch St) will be CLOSED to through traffic all week for PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.

Harwood Hill Road -between Northside Drive and Rte 7 Connector may have lane restrictions for the next several weeks for PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Men and equipment will be in or on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Kocher Drive: between Aldi’s and Performance Dr may have lane restrictions for next several weeks while a contractor continues work on the Pedestrian Sidewalk Extension project.  Men and equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

North Branch St (ALL): Monday & Tuesday – from Brooklyn Bridge to East Rd will be CLOSED to through traffic while the road is milled in preparation of paving.  Residents of N. Branch St will be accommodated.  All others, please find Alternate Route.

Northside Dr Roundabout: STATE Highway Dept is CLOSING the Northside Dr Roundabout Wednesday NIGHT to paint crosswalks and safety road markings.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please find Alternate Route.

Observatory St intersection at Putnam St: Thursday – will be CLOSED to through traffic while a Water Crew conducts valve repairs.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please find alternate route.

Washington Ave: Wednesday – between Weeks St and Observatory St will be CLOSED to through traffic while a Water Crew conducts valve repairs.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Local traffic will be accommodated.  All others, please find alternate route.

Willow Road: will continue to be reduced to One-Lane Traffic all week for PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Men and equipment will be in or on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

 TOWNWIDE:

A Highway crew will continue road markings throughout town.  Please use caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.

A private contractor will continue roadside mowing throughout town.  Please use caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.

 

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.

 

REMINDER – Summer :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as this clogs storm drains and creates flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.
