Week of July 13 – 17, 2020

 Please be Advised: The PFOA Water Line extension work continues. 

 Apple Hill Development (All Roads within): Monday & Tuesday will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic while the crews prepare for paving.  Wednesday through Friday Paving will be completed.   Please use Caution as men & equipment will be in or on the edges of the roadway.  Expect Delays.

Burgess Rd (Center St to Main St): REMINDER: this section of Burgess Rd has been milled and is still rough while waiting for paving.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Carpenter Ln: (Off North Branch St) will have lane restrictions while PFOA water main extension work continues.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Chapel Rd: will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for the next several weeks as contractor crews begin setting up for the next phase of PFOA water line extension work.  Men and equipment will be on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

East Rd (Upper): North of Houghton Lane will be CLOSED for the next 3 weeks as a contractor crew continues PFOA water main extension work.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Detours will be in place. Please schedule your time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route.

Furnace Brook Rd: (at North Branch St) will have lane restrictions while PFOA water main extension work continues.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Harwood Hill Road -between Northside Drive and Rte 7 Connector may have lane restrictions for the next several weeks for PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Men and equipment will be in or on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Kocher Drive: between Aldi’s and Performance Dr continues to have lane restrictions while a contractor works on the Pedestrian Sidewalk Extension project.  Men and equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Main Street (MONDAY- NIGHT): between Depot St and 4-Corners will be CLOSED from 7:00PM – 5:00AM while a Sewer Crew & contractor slip-line the sewer main.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Detours will be in place.  Please schedule your time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route.

North Branch St (at Furnace Brook Rd): will have lane restrictions while PFOA water main extension work continues.  REMINDER: All of North Branch has been milled and is still rough while waiting for paving.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Pratt St: Thursday will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic while a Sewer Crew rebuilds a manhole.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

River Rd (N. Benn): River Rd between Rte 67 and Henry Bridge will be CLOSED Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday as the North Bennington Highway Crew ditches this area.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Detours will be in place. Please schedule your time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route.

Route 67 at  Royal St: Tuesday will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic while a Sewer Crew rebuilds a manhole.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Weeks St (South St to Jefferson Ave): Monday, Tuesday AND Wednesday will be CLOSED 7:00am – 3:00pm to through traffic as a Highway Crew conducts a culvert replacement.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please find an alternate route.

Willow Road: will continue to be reduced to One-Lane Traffic all week for PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Men and equipment will be in or on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

TOWNWIDE:

A private contractor will continue roadside mowing throughout town.  Please use caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.

 

REMINDER – Summer :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as this clogs storm drains and creates flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

 Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.
