Construction Notice: PFOA Water Line Extensions work continues as well as Town DPW Projects and State Paving Project work.  These may require road closures or lane reductions.  Please see below.

Rte 67A / North Bennington Road will be reduced to One-lane traffic from Hanaford Plaza to Water Street as this section begins PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Austin Hill Road will be reduced to One-lane traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work (service line connections) through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Bard Road will be reduced to One-lane traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work (service line connections) through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edges of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Gypsy Lane continues to be Closed from Rte 9/West Road to Walloomsac Road to through traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please find alternate route.

Harrington Road (North Benn) will be reduced to One Lane between the Henry Bridge and the Wastewater Plant to through traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Heaven’s Way will be Closed to through traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Hillside Street (North Benn) will be reduced to One Lane for through traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Matteson Road will be reduced to One-lane traffic from Rice Lane to Harlan Rd to through traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

McCall Street (Monday & Tuesday) will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic as a Sewer Crew rebuilding manholes in preparation for paving.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Murphy Road will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic from Austin Hill to Henry Bridge for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

North Street (Tuesday) A Water Crew will be conducting a new water tap on North Street between Main Street and Pleasant Street.  North Street will be OPEN but reduced to One-lane traffic.  Men & equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

North Bennington Road/ Rte 67A will be reduced to One-lane traffic from Hanaford Plaza to Water Street as this section begins PFOA Water Line Extension Work.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Park Street (North Bennington) will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Pleasant Street (Wednesday & Thursday) A Water Crew will be replacing water valves on Pleasant Street between North Street and School Street.  To enter the Pleasant Street Parking lot, traffic must enter from School Street.  Two-way traffic will TEMPORARILY be allowed.  Men & equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

Red Pine Road will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

River Road to Orebed Road will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Riverside Drive will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Royal Street (North Benn) will be reduced to one-lane traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Scott Street will be CLOSED all week to through traffic while Highway crews excavate, remove & replace sidewalks, curbing and moving a fire hydrant.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use find Alternate Route.

Silk Road will be CLOSED THURSDAY as Highway crews replace a culvert.  The rest of the week it will be reduced to One-lane traffic to finish PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27, 2018.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

South Street from Crescent Blvd to Merson St will be reduced to One-Lane traffic through August 10th.  A private contractor will be working with the Water Department to replace a water line crossing in anticipation of the Route 7 State Paving project.  Men & equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays for the next 3 weeks.

Susan Taylor Lane & Asa Way (North Bennington) will be reduced to one-lane traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Vail Road will be reduced to one-lane traffic between Red Pine Rd and Silk Rd for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Walloomsac Road will continue to be Closed to through traffic between Dermody Rd and Fairview Street (only) for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please find alternate route.

**William H. Morse Airport may be accessed by way of Dermody Road

Wilkie Way will be reduced to one-lane traffic for PFOA Water Line Extension Work through July 27th, 2018.  Local traffic (including buses) WILL be accommodated.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

 

TOWNWIDE:

Highway Crews continue Roadside Mowing, sign replacements and crosswalk painting around town.  Many roads may be reduced to One-lane.  Men and equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

 

STATE PROJECT:  Woodford Road / Rte 9 East: VTrans/State Highway Paving Project continues between Bennington (Rte 279 Entrance) and Wilmington.   Various finishing touches and follow-up work will take place this week.  These will have minimal impact on traffic; however please continue to take caution as men and equipment may be in and/or on the edge of the roadway.  Expect Minor Delays.
