Week of September 07 – 11, 2020

 

Town Office will be CLOSED Monday September 7th, 2020 in observance of  Labor Day. 

Additionally, there will be NO Roadwork on Monday September 07th, 2020. 

Please have a Safe Labor Day Holiday!!!

 Beech St: Ballfield area will be Closed Wednesday to through traffic and lane restrictions the rest of the week while Highway Crew installs new Catch Basin (storm drain) near the ballfield.  Please use Caution when traveling men and equipment will be in the road.  Expect Delays or find alternate route.

Chapel Rd (Upper): North of Crossover Rd continues to be CLOSED 7:00am-5:30pm as the contractor crew works on the PFOA water main extension project.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Detours will be in place.  Please schedule your time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route.

County St between Safford St and Park St: will be reduced to One-Lane Traffic all week as Highway Crew cleans and repairs storm drains along County St.  Men and equipment will be on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Gage St: (Safford St to Grove St): Thursday will be CLOSED as a contractor paves the disturbed area of the new water connection for the Rec Ctr.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Detours will be in place. Please schedule your time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route. 

Kocher Drive: between Aldi’s and Performance Dr continues to have lane restrictions while a contractor continues work on the Pedestrian Sidewalk Extension project.  Men and equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Pleasant St: between Park St and Main St intersection will be CLOSED Thursday while a private contractor taps the water main for a rehabilitation project.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Detours will be in place. Please schedule your time accordingly to account for these detours or find an alternate route.

Polygraphic Ln (N.Benn): continues to be reduced to One-Lane Traffic while a Sewer Crew continues work on the Sewer Main Replacement project.  Men and equipment will be in the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

TOWNWIDE:

Weed eating & Roadside Mowing continues across town at various locations.  Please use Caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.

A Highway crew will be Grading various dirt roads across town. Please use Caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.

NORTH BENNINGTON

Tuesday & Wednesday Highway Crew will be cleaning catch basins across the village.  Please use caution when approaching these areas.  Men & equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway.

 

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.

REMINDER – Summer :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as this clogs storm drains and creates flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.
