Week of November 07 – 11, 2016

 ** Remember: Overnight Parking Ban begins November 15th

Real Estate Taxes are Due THURSDAY – November 10th

 

  • Putnam Block Area – Water Crews will be conduction Leak Detection and marking water/sewer lines in the Putnam Block area all week. This will include Main Street, South Street, Franklin Lane and Washington Avenue.
  • Emma Street – Highway Crews will be working on a drainage issue. One lane traffic. Expect delays.
  • Gage Street (Upper) – Tuesday Water Crew will be repairing a water leak. Upper Gage Street will closed from Branch Street to Cross Street between 7:30am-3:00pm. Local traffic will be accommodated during those hours.
  • Harrington Road – Highway crews will be added gravel and grading the roadway. Please use caution when approaching this area. Lane Restrictions will be in place. Expect delays.
  • North Street – Monday Water Crews will be repairing a leaking water main in the right-of-way (near the VT Veteran’s Home). Crews and equipment will be on the edge of the road. Sheriff’s will assist the flow of traffic. There may be delays.
  • Observatory Street – Monday a private contractor will be repairing a broken sewer service line. Observatory Street will be closed to through traffic, however local traffic will be accommodated.
  • South Branch Street– crews will be finishing concrete work & paving sidewalks. Road Closures and/or lane restrictions may apply. Local traffic will be accommodated.
  • Water Crews will be flushing Dead End Hydrants and small pump hydrants in (ONLY) preparation for winter. Men & equipment will be in the roadway. Please use caution when approaching.
  • – Roadside mowing continues throughout Town. Please use caution when approaching these areas.
  • – Small follow-up items along the Ninja Trail will be worked on this week. Please use caution when approaching the Silk Road / Rte 67A area.

 

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions. Please use caution when entering a construction zone; men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.

 

Please Be Advised:

To BOTH Residents and Contractors – Please make sure all loads are covered when taking leaves and or brush to the transfer station. When disposing of leaf bags you MUST empty the bags into the pile

 

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as this clogs storm drains and creates flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.
