Willow Park Update!
The Town buildings and grounds crew helped with preparation work for the curbing crew that arrived today to finish that work at the lower playground at Willow Park. Last week we had the poured in place rubber done in the upper and lower playgrounds.
We are now waiting on the Play By Design team who will be installing the swings. Then a final audit and certification of the new playgrounds will be the final steps.
With spring well under way, we are determined to see this project finished as quickly as possible. It won't be open this weekend, and while the forecast looks rainy, consider checking out some of Bennington's other recreational resources.
You can find information on other playgrounds, such as the Stark Street Playground, hiking trails such as the BATS system on Mount Anthony, or visit someplace new such as the Putnam Wetlands, or the Greenberg Headwaters Preserve.
