Dates Announced for Community Roundtables for Providing Input on Town Plan

Not Your Typical Public Meetings!

Community engagement is underway for Bennington’s town plan update. There will be five community roundtable conversations in Bennington between January and March. These won’t be your typical public meetings, though.

The community roundtables will be lively, fast-paced discussions of five key issues: housing, jobs, transportation, environment, and public programs. In small groups, participants will talk about Bennington’s strengths and challenges around those issues, and brainstorm strategies to address tough problems.

The Bennington Planning Commission wants input from as many people as possible to understand the town's challenges and to imagine a community vision of what Bennington could be. Anyone who lives, works, studies, or spends time in Bennington is welcome and encouraged to participate.

The first community roundtable conversation will be on Saturday, January 20 at 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bennington Recreation Center. All ages are welcome.
Please register to let us know you plan to attend, and to request childcare, translation services, or other support. You can register online (https://forms.office.com/r/kXzsDgTKNr) or in-person at the Town Office.

The five roundtables will be on:
  • Saturday, January 20 at 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Bennington Rec Center
  • Wednesday, January 24 at 5:00 to 6:30 PM on Zoom (online only)
  • Thursday, February 15 at 5:30 to 7:00 PM at Mt. Anthony Union Middle School
