Paving continues on the following streetsPlease expect One-Lane restrictions and delays 

Chapel Rd * Hunt St (at Benmont Ave) * Observatory *

Chapel Road: One Lane Traffic as the road gets paved

Darling St: Monday – One Lane Traffic as a Water Dept crew installs a new flushing hydrant.

Dewey St: Harwood to Weeks
will be reduced to ONE lane with Traffic Control in place
while a Highway crew pours concrete for new sidewalks.    Please use caution when approaching and expect delays

Hunt St: at Benmont Ave: One Lane Traffic as a Contractor paves recent excavation.

Observatory St: One Lane Traffic as a Contractor paves the roadway

Park St: between Gage St & County St: One Lane Traffic as a Contractor repairs a water service line. Please use caution when approaching and expect delays or find an alternate route

Valentine St:  Tuesday – from Main St to Pleasant St: CLOSED (local traffic only)to install flushing hydrant

Washington Ave: between Elm St to Observatory St: One Lane Traffic as Highway will be installing drainage.

TOWNWIDE: – SUMMER MAINTENANCE

Downtown Sidewalk Sweeping THURSDAY
Patching the roadway in various locations across town.  Please use caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.
Street sweeping continues.  Some traffic may be slowed down due to cleaning equipment in roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.
Roadside Mowing continues this week.  Some traffic may be slowed down due to mowing equipment on edge of the roadway.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Green Mountain Power continues their Tree Trimming Program.  For the next 4 months, Davey Tree Service will be assisting GMP with tree trimming around town.

NORTH BENNINGTON: – SUMMER MAINTENANCE

The North Bennington Highway crew will finish the installation of a new EV Charging Station at the Train Station Parking Lot.  Once complete the will continue with local park maintenance and mowing.

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.
