Week of April 18 – 22, 2022

 REMINDER:  Green Up Day – May 7th – Please call the Town Offices to register (802) 442-1037

 ** Contractor Crew will be wrapping up the remaining repairs on sidewalks and curbing for the previous-Phase I & II locations of lead line replacements.  This includes Bradford St, Branch St, Gage St, Grove St, Safford St, & School St.  One Lane traffic may be necessary Please use caution when approaching and expect delays or find an alternate route.

Harrington Road: will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while a Highway Crew grades the dirt road and then ditches the edges of the roadway.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

Mt. Anthony Road : will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while a Highway Crew grades the dirt road and then ditches the edges of the roadway.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

North Street between Main St & County St : will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while a private contractor finishes work on the next phase of Lead Service Line Replacements.  Traffic Control will be in place.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

Park Street (N.Benn) : will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while North Bennington Grades the dirt road  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

Regwood Drive: will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while a Highway Crew grades the dirt road and then ditches the edges of the roadway.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

Welling Road: will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while North Bennington Grades the dirt road  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

TOWNWIDE: – SPRING CLEANING

Highway crews will continue spring maintenance including brush cutting and tree trimming in numerous locations across town.  Some streets may be temporarily closed or reduced to one-lane to accommodate necessary cleaning equipment.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

Sewer Department will be working with a private contractor (Manoosh) in various location in town to vacuum & clean sewer main lines.  Some streets may be temporarily closed or reduced to one-lane to accommodate necessary cleaning equipment.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

A Downtown crew will continue spring maintenance including Street Sweeping.

NORTH BENNINGTON: – SPRING CLEANING

The North Bennington Highway crew will continue Spring maintenance around the Village including Grading both Park Street and Welling Road

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.

 

REMINDER – Spring Cleanup :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as this will clog storm drains and create both flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.  When disposing of leaf bags, you MUST empty the bags into the pile.
