Week of April 25 – 29, 2022

 **Townwide Hydrant Flushing begins Monday April 25th and runs for two-weeks through Friday May 6th.  This program generally begins on the East side of Town and works its way West during the two-week period.  Some may lose pressure or experience discolored water.  These are normal side effects.  Please run the Cold Water ONLY to restore water.

 Green Up Day – May 7th – Please call the Town Offices to register

 Bradford Street (between Main St & Gage St) : will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while a private contractor works on the next phase of the Morgan Springs Pump Station Relocation project.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route. 

Chapel Road (Lower) : a Highway Crew will be ditching the edges of the roadway.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

Harrington Road: a Highway Crew will be ditching the edges of the roadway.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

Mt. Anthony Road : will be reduced to ONE LANE all week while a Highway Crew continues grading the dirt road and then ditches the edges of the roadway.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

 TOWNWIDE: – SPRING CLEANING

Highway Department will be working with a private contractor (Manoosh) in various location in town to vacuum & clean storm drains and catch basins.  Some streets may be temporarily closed or reduced to one-lane to accommodate necessary cleaning equipment.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays

A Highway Crew will also be painting & refreshing “Safety Markings” in various locations.  This will include crosswalks, parking spots and arrows.  Please use Caution when approaching and Expect Delays

Highway crews will continue spring maintenance including brush cutting and tree trimming in numerous locations across town.  Some streets may be temporarily closed or reduced to one-lane to accommodate necessary cleaning equipment.  Please use Caution and Expect Delays.

A Downtown crew will also continue spring maintenance including Street Sweeping.

NORTH BENNINGTON: – SPRING CLEANING

The North Bennington Highway crew will continue Spring maintenance around the Village

All Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.

 

REMINDER – Spring Cleanup :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as this will clog storm drains and create both flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.  When disposing of leaf bags, you MUST empty the bags into the pile.
