Week of June 13th – June 17, 2022

 ** NOTICE:  Maple St Rehabilitation Project begins Monday June 13th and will be CLOSED for several months

Bradford St: from Main to Coolidge will be CLOSED all week while a Contractor prepares the roadway for final pavement.  Please find an alternate route.

Main St: between Bradford and Safford (only) will be CLOSED while a Contractor prepares the roadway for final pavement. Detour will be in place.  Please find an alternate route.

Maple St: will be CLOSED to through traffic for several months (through September) while the Public Works Department performs a complete road rehabilitation.  Local (Street) residents will be accommodated. Please find alternate route.

Soule St: may be one lane Water Department continues to work on a valve repair.  Please use caution when approaching, expect delays.


Downtown Sidewalk Sweeping will now be every THURSDAY morning

Highway Crews will continue rebuilding catch basins throughout town. Affected areas may be reduced to One Lane.   Please use caution when approaching, expect delays or find an alternate route.

Town Highway crews will be working on roadside mowing throughout town.

A Highway Crew will continue permanent patching of potholes and old dig sites in various locations across town.  Please use caution when approaching and expect delays

Highway will also continue painting & refreshing “Safety Markings” in various locations.  This includes crosswalks, parking spots and “Stop” bars, & arrows.  Please use Caution when approaching and Expect Delays


The North Bennington Highway will begin roadside mowing across the Village and Parks. Please use caution when approaching.

ALL Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.


REMINDER – Spring Cleanup:

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves OR grass clippings into Town streets or Highways as these will clog storm drains and create both flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.  When disposing of leaf bags, you MUST empty the bags into the pile.
