Week of October 17 – 21, 2022

 

 **Note:   Town wide Hydrant Flushing Continues this week

October 17 – 21st .

Benmont Ave : btwn County St & Leonard St – will be reduced to ONE-lane for next several weeks while Private Contractor performs test digs for the upcoming Sewer Main rehabilitation project.   Please expect delays and use caution when approaching.

Franklin Ln: continues to be CLOSED to through traffic all week while the Public Works Department rehabilitates this street. Local (Street) residents will be accommodated. Please find alternate route.

Mt. Anthony Rd: will be reduced to One-Lane while Highway Crew grades & gravels this dirt road in preparation for winter.   Please expect delays and use caution when approaching.

REMINDER – FALL :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town streets or Highways as these clog storm drains and create flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.

TOWNWIDE: – FALL MAINTENANCE

Water Department will continue Flushing Hydrants across Town this week.

Downtown Sidewalk Sweeping is every THURSDAY morning

Patching roads in various areas of town, please use caution when approaching and expect minor delays.

Sewer Department continues Systemwide Jetting/cleaning of sewer mains. Please use caution when approaching these areas as large equipment and personnel will be in or on edge of roadways.

Town Highway crews will continue working on roadside mowing and patching various digs throughout town.  Please use caution when approaching these areas and expect delays.

NORTH BENNINGTON: – FALL  MAINTENANCE

The North Bennington Highway will be closing & winterizing the Village Fountain this week.  Additionally, they will be replacing the George Washington marker adjacent to the Village Library.  Please use caution when approaching these areas as men and equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway.

 

ALL Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.
