Week of October 31 – November 04, 2022

 

** Monday is Halloween – Please be aware of “Trick or Treaters” and Pedestrians

Benmont Ave : btwn County St & Leonard St – will be reduced to ONE-lane for next several weeks while Private Contractor begins the Large Sewer Main Replacement project.   Please expect delays and use caution when approaching or find alternate route.

County St (Lower) : Wed/Thurs/Fri  btwn Benmont Ave & Lincoln St – will be CLOSED while Private Contractor works on the the Large Sewer Main replacement project.   Please find alternate route.

Franklin Ln: continues to be CLOSED to through traffic all week while the Public Works Department rehabilitates this street. Local (Street) residents will be accommodated. Please find alternate route.

S Stream Rd : Wednesday will be CLOSED to ALL through traffic while the Highway Dept patches the roadway from a recent PRIVATE dig.  ALL TRAFFIC will be re-routed to Morgan Street. Please find alternate route.

REMINDER – FALL :

Please DO NOT rake or blow leaves into Town or Village Streets or Highways as these clog storm drains and create flooding and driving hazards for the entire community.

Residents and Contractors – Please make sure ALL LOADS ARE COVERED when taking leaves and or brush to the Transfer Station.

 TOWNWIDE: – FALL MAINTENANCE

Townwide Street Sweeping continues

Town Highway crews will also continue Patching roads and sidewalks in various areas of town, please use caution when approaching and expect minor delays.

Sewer Department continues Systemwide Jetting/cleaning of sewer mains. Please use caution when approaching these areas as large equipment and personnel will be in or on edge of roadways.

NORTH BENNINGTON: – FALL  MAINTENANCE

The North Bennington Highway will continue Fall maintenance including roadside mowing  Please use caution when approaching these areas as men and equipment will be in or on the edge of the roadway and expect delays or find alternate routes.

 

** Remember: Overnight Parking BAN Begins Tuesday NOVEMBER 15TH

The Winter Overnight Parking Ban for all streets within the Town and Village of North Bennington is from November 15 to March 31 between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. NO overnight parking is allowed on the streets.  Police will enforce this ban by ticketing individuals who leave unattended vehicles on the street during that time.

 

ALL Work will be dependent on weather conditions.  Please use caution when entering a construction zone, men and equipment will be in the traveled portion of the road.
