Lead Line Replacement Efforts Continue

Do you live on East Main Street or in the southeastern portion of downtown?

Our lead water service line replacement effort is now working in your area again. We are sending out letters to properties that are still listed as lead or unknown in town records. This is part of a town-wide effort to remove and replace lead pipes in our water system.

If you receive a letter about identifying your service line, the first step is to indicate that you are interested in a replacement water line and an inspection. No further application is required.

The first step is to respond. There are three response options: fill out the prepaid return postcard and send it to MSK Engineers, scan the QR code to go directly to the inspection scheduling page, or contact MSK Engineers at 802-447-1402, Ext. 123, lmcrae@mskeng.com.

If we identify a lead service line, we will plan to replace the service line with copper pipe FOR FREE. Inspections, water sampling, replacements, and all other parts of this project are funded by a grant from the State of Vermont, at no cost to you.

If you have any questions or to request a new response letter, contact Liam McRae at MSK Engineers, 802-447-1402, Ext. 123, lmcrae@mskeng.com. For more information, visit www.benningtonvt.org/lead.
