Public Notice – Town of Bennington – Town Office will be open Monday, November 12



Per 24 VSA Sec 1061, the residents of the Town of Bennington are hereby notified
and warned of the Select Board’s intent to sell the following properties acquired via
tax sale:

These sales are subject to the right of petition under 24 VSA Section 1061. Any
petition regarding any of these properties must be signed by at least five percent of
the legal voters of the Town of Bennington, and must be submitted no later than
thirty (30) days following the board’s decision.

Property conveyance is subject to all additional costs arising from sale and subject
to approval by the Select Board. Sale is “as is” condition. A Quit Claim Deed will be
provided upon closing.

Written proposals for purchase must be submitted to the Town Manager’s Office
at 205 South Street, P.O. Box 469, Bennington, Vermont 05201, no later than
November 19, 2018 at 3:00 PM. The Select Board will review proposals and staff
recommendations for sale at a regularly scheduled Board meeting.  Action is
expected the night of the meeting.

*Proposals not meeting the minimum bid must be accompanied by a written
justification related to the property, not the bidder.
