EARLY VOTING: Ballots Available Now!

Kayla-mailing-ballots
Ballots are now available for early absentee voting for the March 5, 2024 Town and School Meetings and Presidential Primary.

If you wish to vote early, please stop by the Town Clerk's Office at 205 South Street, Bennington, to vote in person or take your ballot with you.

You may also call (802) 442-1044 or email cbarbeau@benningtonvt.org to request a ballot be sent to you.

If you have already submitted an annual request for absentee ballot, we will be mailing them in the coming days. Sample ballots are also available for viewing at https://benningtonvt.org/services/town_clerk/elections___voter_information/sample_ballots.php

Please remember, voters are required by State law to choose ONE party ballot only in the Primary. This is the nomination process to see who goes on the November ballot. You are not REGISTERED to that party and may choose a different party next time, or in November. If you are uncomfortable with this, you can opt out of that particular election and still cast a ballot for our local Town and School elections.

For your convenience in returning your ballots, we have a secure drop box located by the front porch of the Bennington Town Office. This drop box is under video surveillance and checked daily, even on the weekends. This drop box will be available until close of business March 4, 2024. If you must return your ballot after that time, it should be returned to your polling place by 7:00 PM on March 5, 2024.

Any questions? Please contact Cassandra Barbeau, Bennington Town Clerk at 802-442-1043 or email cbarbeau@benningtonvt.org
